Obituary of Nestor Quinones - Vazquez

Nestor "Moncho" Quiñones-Vazquez, 81, of Landisville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in his home of 40 years on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. Nestor was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to Rafael Quiñones and Dolores Vazquez on February 26, 1937. He worked in the garment industry for over 40 years as a textile engineer prior to his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed playing dominoes, tending to his garden, reading the newspaper under his favorite trees, taking daily walks, and spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Sasha. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Dolores Quiñones. Nestor is survived by his devoted wife, Antonia of 58 years; a brother and 3 sisters. He is also survived by his five children; Johnny (Cathy), Nestor Jr. (Cindya), Grisel Gambino (late Enrico), Orlando (Cynthia), and Mirella White (Michael). He leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Michael's Church, 504 West Ave., Minotola from 5pm to 7pm and again on Monday morning from 9am to 9:45am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Nestor will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Victories Cemetery in Landisville, NJ. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
