Michael A. Fantini, Jr., 91, of Vineland, NJ passed away on January 3, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born on October 19, 1930, in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the youngest of four children to Michael A. Fantini, Sr. of Philadelphia PA and Susan (Spinelli) of Minotola, NJ. He proudly began serving our country as a member of the U.S. Navy in 1948 on the ship S.S. Gilbert and continued serving until 1952. He was employed with Comar for over 40 years, where he met his beloved wife, Rose, in 1952 and they were married in 1953. It was love at first sight. He enjoyed being outside and working in his yard every day. Michael and his wife enjoyed walking the Atlantic City Boardwalk and visiting the casinos, where they also played bingo. He loved spending all of the holidays, summer barbecues and crab fests with his family and friends. Michael and Rose also thoroughly enjoyed traveling to Florida on vacation. He loved playing pinochle with his adoptive parents, making puzzles with his wife and completing the daily crossword puzzle. He was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. Michael is predeceased by his parents, Michael A. Fantini, Sr. and Susan (Spinelli) and his siblings, Concetta (Jeanette), Betty and Rita. He is survived by his three daughters, Donna Fantini, Darlene and Todd Weaver and Debra and Bruce Chalow, whom he was a loving, caring father to. Michael has six grandchildren, Jeffrey and Stephanie Friedman, Todd Jr., Brandon and Katlynne Weaver and Alyssa Fantini, along with several nieces and one nephew, his adoptive family, Barbara and Jack Dyer and David and Michael Goffredi. Relatives and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 10am to 11am with funeral services at 11am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue in Vineland. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 735 Union Road in Vineland. In Lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
