Obituary of Gloria M. Stefano

Please share a memory of Gloria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Gloria M. Stefano – it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet mother, Gloria M. Stefano on Monday, February 27, 2023, of natural causes. She was the daughter of Luca and Gabriella Giuliano from South Philadelphia, where she was born and raised.

She was employed by Newcomb Medical Center for 35 years where she never missed a day of work. Mom and Dad created many happy memories growing up on Foster Avenue with many family parties where mom cooked her delicious Italian dishes with love. Christmas mornings with the family were magical and unforgettable. Mom's smile and laughter lit up every room she walked into with her Sarduce (Dad) by her side.

She was very adventurous, going on many trips in her life with Sarduce and other family members. Gloria was part of team D.I. G. (Dan, Irene, Gloria), crewmember first class on several memorable houseboating vacations on Lake Powell, Utah. She loved music. She attended Hallahan High School in Philadelphia where she played violin in the orchestra under the direction of Jeno Donath. She enjoyed going to Neil Diamond concerts with her daughters and loved dancing the Jitterbug with Sarduce (Dad). She enjoyed playing Volleyball and tried different activities like boxing, parasailing, karate, and rock climbing, just to name a few. She was fearless.

Gloria was predeceased in 1985 by her husband, Anthony R. Stefano, Jr. (Sarduce); her son, Anthony R. Stefano, III in 2019; her parents, Luca and Gabriella Giuliano; her sister, Mary Pagano (Frank); and her brother, Michael Giuliano (Jenny). She is survived by her four daughters, Laura and her husband Michael, Judee and her husband Glenn, Irene and her husband Dan, and Karen and her husband Joe; her sister, Catherine Nataro; grandchildren Christina and Katie, Anthony and Jeff; and nieces and nephews, Barbara and Al, Iralee and Ken, Stevie and Maryann, Carmen and Brenda; and her dog, Maggie, who was sunshine to her, and Choo-Choo, too, another dog who predeceased her.

Gloria respectfully requests all memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and PETA Organization for cruelty protection to animals.

All who wish to attend are invited to a graveside service on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:30am at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Road, Vineland.

May Gloria rest in peace.
