Obituary of Jose Alicea
Jose "Pepe" Alicea, 96 of Aibonito, Puerto Rico, was called to his final resting place on October 27, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He is now reunited with his mother, Paula Rodriguez and the love of his life, Susanna Martinez.
The oldest of 16 children, Pepe is now reunited with many predeceased siblings, children and grandchildren. "Don Pepe" as he was affectionately known, was a taxi driver of Vineland Yellow Cab for more than 20 years, as well as, known for his love of fashion and a master of playing dominos.
He was respected and admired by many friends and family members. Don Pepe enjoyed nothing more than spending quality time with his many loved ones. He was the patriarch to his extended "Rodriguez" family to whom he was known as their "King".
Pepe leaves behind his legacy to honor and cherish 2 sisters, Carmen Rodriguez and Petra Rodriguez; 1 brother, Luis Rodriguez; 7 biological children; 7 step-children whom he raised and loved as his own; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and some great-great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:30am at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ with a service to follow at 11:30am. Pepe will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland, NJ.
