Betty S. Pearson, 85 - June 6th, 2013.born in Philadelphia, PA Sept 2, 1927, spent her early childhood in Exchange, PA before returning to Philadelphia, where she graduated Upper Darby High School in 1946. Shortly after graduating she was employed at the International Forwarding Co. of Philadelphia before enlisting into the United States Air Force in 1950, where she proudly served and obtained the rank of Staff Sargent. By 1954 she had met and married a fellow serviceman, Jesse L. Pearson. She became a military homemaker, raising their 3 daughters. In 1968 they had returned from a European tour and settled in Bridgeton, NJ were she began her working career. Retiring from the Manischewitz Company at age 65, she later worked part time at the Millville Wal-Mart. Always active, she enjoyed her grandchildren, books, animals and especially her cats, gardening, travel, the arts, and had a lifelong love of theater. She was a member of the Little Theater of Vineland, now Cumberland Players for many years. She is predeceased by her brother, Thomas W. Scott and husband, Jesse L. Pearson and survived by her three daughters, Valerie LaMarro and son-in-law Frank Jr. of Vineland, Victoria Cachaza and son-in-law Adam of Millville and Diana Urdinaran of Millville, along with four grandchildren, Phillip Welcz, Tianna Cachaza, Jesse & Bella Urdinaran along with her nephew, Thomas W. Scott of FL and niece, Susan Fox of PA with cousins, Nancy Fischer of PA , John Lose of NJ and Norma, Phyllis Lose & Shirley Lose-Vennell of FL. Private services will be held June 29th at 11:30am in Exchange, PA.
