Obituary of Theresa M. Trongone
Theresa Marie Trongone, 81 of Vineland, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 19, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones.
Theresa "Terri" was born in Vineland on April 4, 1942, to the late Fred Reale and Mary (Apamollo) Reale.
Terri grew up in Malaga, NJ and graduated in 1960 from Clayton High School. She worked at Model Coat Clothing Manufacturing Co., and several elementary school cafeterias as well as Newcomb Hospital as a Nurse's Aide before she attended the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program in Vineland and achieved her LPN Certificate. Once she received her LPN certificate, she worked over 30 years as a dedicated nurse. She also worked at Health South (formerly called Encompass) Rehabilitation Center until she retired in 2007.
Terri was an excellent cook and baker and loved to make all sorts of Italian pastries and cookies, as many had the pleasure of enjoying especially during the holidays. She enjoyed spending time with her family and preparing meals for them and anyone who visited. As many have come to learn, no one ever left hungry as she made sure there were always generous portions on her table for all to enjoy. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino and attending or listening online (as her health declined) to the teachings at Calvary Chapel Church by Pastor Frank Ippolito and Pastor Anthony Ippolito.
Terri was predeceased by her sisters, Rose Mignogna, Angie Petit, Carmela Patch and Ellen Hinrichsen; her brothers William, Frank, Dominic, Nicholas, Joseph, and Alfred Reale.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert (Bob) Trongone, Sr; sons, Robert (Bob) Trongone, Jr, and Daniel Trongone; daughter-in-law, Margaret (Ramos) Trongone; son-in-law, Joe Orenczak Jr.; grandchildren, Camille (Trongone) Doherty, Jenna (Trongone) Villegas, and Juliana Trongone in addition to many nieces, nephews and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law’s, Mary (Trongone) Larro, Loretta (Martini) Trongone, Miriam (Lugo) Trongone.
A memorial service will be held at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 South Lincoln Avenue, Vineland.
