Obituary of Alexander V Tonetta

Alexander V. Tonetta, 82 Alexander V. Tonetta Jr., born February 14, 1932 in Vineland to Alessandro and Amelia (Pancari) Tonetta, passed away on February 12, 2015. "Junior" was a lifelong resident of Vineland and the owner of A. Tonetta & Son Farms, Dante Avenue, Vineland. He was an avid hunter and member of the Buck Range Gun Club for over 60 years. Junior loved making wine, salami and sausage at the family farm. He had a great love for his family and enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. Alex was predeceased by his parent; his brother, John and sister-in-law, Rose; brother, Joseph and sister-in-law, Olive; sister, Lucy and husband Paul Gardella; sister, Margarita and husband Attilio Castellini, sister-in-law, Catherine Tonetta, brothers-in-law, Salvatore Galante, John Holmes, David Geri, mother-in-law, Mary Galante, and Joseph Comiso and his wife, Elizabeth. Alex is survived by his loving wife of 63 years , Marie (Galante), children; Alex and wife Margaret, Richard and wife Nancy, Mary and husband James Moore, grandchildren; Tracie Tonetta, Stephanie Tonetta-Sayer and husband John, Alex Tonetta, Amanda Tonetta, Richard Tonetta, Robert Tonetta, Laura Moore, Jennifer Moore, and two great grandchildren; Grace Stanker and Kate Sayer. He is also survived by his sisters; Mary Holmes, Gloria Polizzi and husband Louis, Myra Geri and brother, Vincent Tonetta, sister-in-law, Angela Manera and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30am at Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Ave., Vineland, NJ 08361. Alex will be laid to rest at the church cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Monday at the CHURCH from 9:30am to 11:15am. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
