Obituary of Samuel W. Mascola

Samuel W. Mascola, 63, of Vineland, NJ went home to the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2015 after a long fought battle with progressive heart disease. Sam was born on February 9, 1952, son of Salvatore A. Mascola and Delcena Mascola. He was well known and loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him, having played football, baseball, softball, tennis and golf. Sam was a classic car enthusiast, an avid poker player, and bowled in many leagues, proudly scoring TWO perfect games. He was a member of the North Italy Beneficial Association. Samuel was a retired Chief Master Sergeant after serving 33 distinguished years in the United States Air Force. After retirement, his greatest joy was watching his grandchildren's various sporting events, recitals, plays, etc. and rewarding them for good report cards. His greatest wish was to see his grandsons play High School Baseball together someday. Sam loved his family dearly and leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Patricia (Biagi) Mascola, Daughters, Michelle (Frank) Pantalione, Leanne (Jim) Kurtz; Stepdaughter, Valerie (Scott) Crossland; 8 adoring Grandchildren who were the light of his life, Jimmy and Joey Kurtz, Frankie, Anthony, and Giuliana Pantalione, Kyle Hubble, Kellie & Katie Crossland; Sister, Marion Mingin, Nephew, Mike Mingin (Mika), Patricia's extended family, Gloria Biagi, Ron & Gina Biagi, Denise & John Capizola, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Sam was predeceased by his parents, father in law, Carlo Biagi, and the mother of his daughters, Yvonne Belawsky Mascola. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Sam will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends will be received on Thursday morning from 9am to 1pm at the funeral home.
